The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is designed to reimagine how you use a PC by introducing a foldable form factor instead of a fixed laptop shape.

Key differences include:

• Foldable 2K OLED display: Instead of a rigid screen, the X1 Fold has a beautiful 2K OLED screen that can literally fold. This lets you switch between a compact mode and a larger, more immersive view.
• Flexible usage modes: You can use it more like a small tablet when folded, or unfold it to work more like a traditional laptop or a larger display. The screen folds according to your needs, so you can adapt it to reading, typing, presenting, or browsing.
• Portability with a larger workspace: The idea is “carry small, use big.” When folded, it’s easier to carry than many conventional laptops, but when opened, you get a much larger working area than you’d expect from something that compact.

Overall, the X1 Fold aims to reshape the balance between portability and screen real estate by letting you fold and unfold the device depending on the task.

The foldable 2K OLED screen on the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is built to rethink how you move between tasks during the day.

Here’s how it can fit into everyday work:

• Compact mode for on-the-go: Fold the screen and carry it in a smaller footprint when you’re commuting or moving between meetings. This supports the “carry small” part of the experience.
• Expanded mode for focused work: When you sit down to work, unfold the screen to get a larger 2K OLED workspace. This gives you more room for documents, presentations, or web pages—essentially “use big.”
• Adaptable viewing angles: Because the screen folds, you can adjust how much it’s open to match your viewing preference, whether you’re reading, typing, or presenting content to someone next to you.

In day-to-day use, the foldable screen is about reshaping how quickly you can switch between a highly portable device and a more expansive display without changing devices.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is aimed at people and teams who want to reimagine how they balance mobility and screen space.

It’s especially useful if you:

• Travel frequently: If you’re often on the move, the ability to “carry small” but still “use big” when you arrive is a strong fit.
• Work in flexible environments: Consultants, sales teams, and remote workers who shift between client sites, home, and office can benefit from a device that folds down for transport and unfolds into a larger 2K OLED workspace.
• Value visual quality and versatility: The 2K OLED screen supports detailed visuals, making it appealing for roles that review content, presentations, or visual materials and need a display that can adapt to different contexts.

In short, the ThinkPad X1 Fold is designed for users who want to reshape their PC experience around flexibility—using one device that can be both highly portable and visually expansive when unfolded.
